Is TidyKit really free?
Yes. Cleaning is free and is never gated behind an ad. The app is supported by ads, and you can optionally remove all ads forever with a one-time purchase.
How do I restore my “Remove Ads” purchase?
Open the app → Settings → Restore purchase. Your one-time purchase is tied to your Apple ID / Google account and restores for free on any device.
Are my photos or contacts uploaded anywhere?
No. TidyKit reads them only on your device to find what’s safe to clean. Nothing is uploaded or transmitted. See our Privacy Policy.
When I delete photos, where do they go?
They move to your device’s system “Recently Deleted” album, where they’re recoverable for ~30 days before being permanently removed — exactly like deleting in the Photos app.
Why don’t I see a “Files” tab on iPhone?
Apple’s sandbox doesn’t allow third-party apps to browse device files, so TidyKit’s Files manager is Android-only. On iPhone, TidyKit cleans Photos, Videos, and Contacts.
The app asked permission to track me — why?
That prompt lets ads be more relevant. You can decline; ads still work, just non-personalized. Removing ads stops it entirely.
